On Saturday, 3 October 2020, at night at 0:16, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Maironio street near No. 3, a car hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of a car, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. A 26-year-old passenger of a car was drunk (2.15‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
