On Tuesday, 13 October 2020, in the morning at 8:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 75), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. Three people were injured — the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient), a 44-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and the 64-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She was drunk (0.84‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
