On Saturday, 21 November 2020, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 55, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Polo. One person was injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel (18 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
