On Sunday, 13 December 2020, at night at 0:49, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Vinčai–Pilviškiai–Vilkaviškis national road (kilometre 23.75), a Volvo V70 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volvo (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.59‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
