On Tuesday, 5 January 2021, in the afternoon at 14:40, in Tauragės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Gedimino street, a Peugeot 508 registered in France hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 65-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Peugeot (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The driver was sober.
