On Wednesday, 13 January 2021, in the evening at 17:06, in Tauragės district municipality, Šilinės village, on the Vališkiai–Aušgiriai–Žukai regional road (kilometre 3), a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1841 registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
