On Sunday, 24 January 2021, in the evening at 17:50, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 46.30), a Mitsubishi Lancer registered in Belarus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
