On Monday, 25 January 2021, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 80), a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1841 registered in Azerbaijan rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
