On Thursday, 11 March 2021, in the evening at around 21:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 44), a Kempf registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of a Scania A4X2 (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
