Drunk Volkswagen driver in crash with BMW at Pažangos g. and Vytauto g., Garliava
On Monday, 15 March 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on Pažangos street, at the junction with Vytauto street, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Sharan and a BMW X5 xDrive 5.0i. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.54‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
