On Friday, 19 March 2021, in the morning at 10:30, in Klaipėda, on Baltijos pr., at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Azerbaijan and a Renault Master. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the DAF (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
