On Thursday, 15 April 2021, in the morning at around 5:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 100.70), a Volvo S40 registered in Ukraine ran off the road. One person was injured — a 52-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
