On Wednesday, 12 May 2021, in the afternoon at 13:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 15.20), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo L 150F, a MAN TGX and a Carnehl. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
