On Tuesday, 29 June 2021, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Piliakalnio street near No. 11, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel Zafira (17 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
