On Monday, 19 July 2021, in the afternoon at 11:06, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Pasvalio aplinkkelis national road (kilometre 0.50), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus-82, a 2PTS-4, a 1PTS-9 and a Renault Trafic. Two people were injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Renault (treated as an outpatient) and a 41-year-old passenger of the Renault (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the MTZ (40 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (0.14‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
