On Saturday, 24 July 2021, in the afternoon at 13:38, in Marijampolės municipality, on Vilkaviškio street, at the junction with Vokiečių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320 and a Peugeot 508. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
