On Monday, 2 August 2021, in the morning at around 10:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 299.60), in a roadworks zone, a Skoda Fabia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Skoda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
