On Sunday, 15 August 2021, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Šiaurės pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a Chrysler PT Cruiser. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Skoda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
