On Thursday, 19 August 2021, in the evening at 19:37, in Šakių district municipality, Lekėčių town, on Draugystės street near No. 55, an Opel ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (4.05‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
