On Saturday, 21 August 2021, at night at 0:10, in Biržų district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 38.17), a Subaru Legacy ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Subaru, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
