On Thursday, 26 August 2021, in the evening at 20:40, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street near No. 90, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Volkswagen. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
