On Sunday, 5 September 2021, at night at around 23:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Traksėdžių village, on Šilojų street near No. 16, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a watercraft. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
