On Friday, 17 September 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 53.17), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra Sports Tourer, a Volkswagen Tiguan, a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
