On Friday, 17 September 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Jonavos street near No. 40, a BMW 5ER Reihe hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW (13 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
