On Saturday, 25 September 2021, in the morning at 10:45, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street near No. 138, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.87‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
