On Wednesday, 6 October 2021, in the evening at 17:14, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 12.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 420LA, a Toyota, a Knapen K100 and a Mitsubishi Lancer. One person was injured — the 32-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Scania (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
