On Sunday, 17 October 2021, in the afternoon at 14:31, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 80.60), a Mitsubishi ASX ran off the road. One person was injured — a 41-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.19‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
