On Saturday, 23 October 2021, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Šilininkų village, on the Žemaičių Naumiestis–Gardamas–Švėkšna regional road (kilometre 12), a Toyota Corolla ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Toyota, who committed other traffic rule violations. She was drunk (0.45‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
