On Saturday, 30 October 2021, in the evening at 18:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, Vinkšnėnų village, on Krekenavos street near No. 64, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a car, a Toyota Avensis, a car and a Toyota. One person died — a 32-year-old passenger of a car. Six people were injured — the 34-year-old driver of a car (hospitalized), a 2-year-old passenger of a car (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt, was not in a child seat), a 13-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized), a 39-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized), the 44-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized) and a 11-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of a car, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober.
