On Tuesday, 23 November 2021, in the morning at 7:22, in Vilnius, on Šiaurės street, at the junction with K. Stašio street, a Mitsubishi Space Star hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 12-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
