On Thursday, 2 December 2021, at night at 1:40, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 101.15), a Skoda Roomster registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Skoda (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
