On Sunday, 5 December 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Panevėžys, on A. Jakšto street near No. 21, a car ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of a car (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.26‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
