On Saturday, 8 January 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 6.90), a Saab 9-3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Saab (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
