On Monday, 10 January 2022, in the evening at around 19:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 301), a DAF FA 75CF.250 registered in Poland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the DAF (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
