On Thursday, 13 January 2022, at night at 1:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 34.98), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the DAF (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
