On Wednesday, 10 August 2022, at night at 23:17, in Prienų district municipality, Grigaliūnų village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 34.28), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Clio and a Toyota Auris. Three people were injured — a 51-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), the 51-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 12-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
