On Thursday, 13 January 2022, in the evening at 18:05, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Kukuliškių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 295.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 307 and a Fiat Punto. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Peugeot (6 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.30‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
