On Friday, 21 January 2022, in the afternoon at 14:05, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 140), a Schmitz registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of a Volvo FH12 (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
