On Tuesday, 25 January 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Žemaitijos street, at the junction with Ventos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and an Audi Q5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
