On Wednesday, 26 January 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Elektrėnų street near No. 8N, at the junction with Be pavadinimo street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320 and an Opel Vivaro. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
