On Tuesday, 15 November 2022, in the morning at around 6:00, in Kaunas, on Elektrėnų street near No. 7, a Nissan Note hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 65-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Nissan (46 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
