On Saturday, 5 February 2022, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Sukilėlių pr., at the junction with Lazūnų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Yaris registered in Estonia and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
