On Friday, 18 February 2022, in the morning at 6:30, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street, at the junction with Pramonės pr., a BMW 320D hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 59-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
