On Monday, 28 February 2022, in the morning at 7:10, in Kaunas, on Žuvinto street near No. 4, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
