On Saturday, 29 January 2022, in the evening at 18:30, in Kaunas, on Gaižiūnų street near No. 17, an Audi A4 Avant hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.10‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
