On Wednesday, 6 April 2022, in the morning at around 8:00, in Klaipėda, on Smiltelės street, at the junction with Laukininkų street, a BMW 525 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. The driver was sober.
