On Saturday, 23 April 2022, in the afternoon at 13:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Transit Connect registered in Poland and a BMW. One person was injured — the 42-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Ford (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
