On Thursday, 5 May 2022, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Kapsų street near No. 3, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
