On Friday, 13 May 2022, in the evening at 19:45, in Kauno district municipality, Teleičių village, on Garliavos pl., at the junction with J. Petruičio street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and a Volkswagen Golf. Three people were injured — the 44-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), a 13-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 13-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Toyota (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
