On Sunday, 5 June 2022, in the evening at 20:10, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 66), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D, a trailer/semi-trailer 3.5–10 t and a Volvo FH registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
